     Special Needs Program

The goal of this program is adapted to the level of ability of each child.

This program emphasizes fun through teamwork and social interaction.

We take children ages 4-13 with:

  • Attention deficit hyperactivity disorder
  • Autism
  • Developmental Coordination Disorder
  • Neurodevelopmental disorders
  • OCD
  • Other challenges

Your child must be mobile, must be verbal and must be able to wear the equipment.

This is a fantastic opportunity for your children to be part of a team.

This program will travel to play other teams when the children are ready!

  • Each class is approximately 45 minutes long.
  • All skaters are required to wear full hockey equipment.

Our philosophy is that hockey should be about fun, creating friendships, building self-esteem and being physically active.

Special Hockey is not only recreational but therapeutic.

It emphasizes:

  • social interaction,
  • self reliance
  • concentration
  • willingness to adapt to new experiences
  • a sense of accomplishment and pride.
